About Royals
Please sign in to see more.
Welcome! Though my main aim was to begin with the Dutch Royal Family only, I decided to add all Royal Families, not the least since they are almost all related to each other, through marriages, sometimes for political reason, often out of love. Beside that, I have noticed that other Royalty fans liked the idea that I would not limit myself to the Dutch Royal Family simply cause we have the space here to do so and ofcourse, I am a Royalty Fan.

Where photo's are shown of Official State Visits by Royals, as much as possible the persons in the photo are added, including basic information. For example: a photo from a visit to Indonesia with the President of that country, will give you also basic information about that president.

The site begins with Engelbert I von Nassau-Dillenburg, where the connection between the House of Nassau and the Netherlands actually begins through his marriage with Johanna van Polanen.

*Most royal titles/familynames will be spelled in their own language, unless they are in different
spelling than the Roman Spelling. Some titles in Europe don't have a counterpart in English, and the same is true the other way around. The title used is mostly the one given at birth or the highest title received later. So if someone is born a Duke but becomes a King through marriage, the title King is used.

There is limited space as to the number of first names that can be added, full names will often be mentioned in the biography of the person.

*Ascension to the throne, the date is the date of the actual inauguration.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: especially with changing borders at the end of the second world war in 1945, changing borders of Yugoslavia, etc. the names of cities and provinces are as they were at the time of birth/death and as spelled as in their original language but the country name (in english) will be the one where the place can be found TODAY!

Do you want to receive a regular newsletter, share information, correct information, add photo's, let me know, and you get an administrator's password.

This is a fanpage, political statements about individual members are not welcome. Respect is what I ask, just as you and I would like it.

PHOTO'S: Where known, source/photographer will be mentioned. Additions/corrections are most welcome!

Portraits: When known, information about the artist will be added.

HELP NEEDED: Though the main thing about photo's is that they are there to illustrate, if you have information about the actual date (year) and any other background information about the photo's, portraits and such, it will be most welcome. If persons in the photo are not related to Royalty but important enough for history, the person will also be traceble in this site, e.g. General von Hindenburg. The date of the photo's is therefore inportant to know the actual age of the person in the photo when it was taken!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
